A Salt Lake man was treated at Holy Cross Hospital for stab wounds to the face and backside sustained during an armed robbery, according to Salt Lake Police.

Officers responded to a convenience store at 11th West and Eighth South, where the victim had wandered after the stabbing. The man, 42, apparently was dropping a woman off at an unknown location Friday night when another man jumped into his four-wheel-drive pickup and stole his wallet and slashed him in the face and buttocks, police said.The man, who's identity wasn't released, was taken to the hospital for treatment and observation overnight.
