General Dynamics Corp. has paid the government $2.6 million to settle claims that the company overcharged the Air Force on spare parts for F-111 and FB-111 bombers, the Justice Department said Monday.

A department statement said officials of the company's Abilene, Texas, facility knew the spare parts were overpriced by $1.25 million when they negotiated the $15 million spare parts contract with the Air Force in 1982.
