A snowstorm has been blamed for a car-truck accident on U.S. 89 near here in which a 63-year-old Richfield woman died, the Utah Highway Patrol says.

LaRae Streetman was killed when a southbound car driven by Sherry Christensen, 56, of Elsinore, went out-of-control, crossed the center line and collided with a flat-bed truck driven by Dave Denison, of West Jordan, the UHP said.Trooper Stan Anderson said Streetman, a passenger in Christensen's car, was dead at the scene of the 6:30 a.m. accident Thursday near Nine Mile Reservoir in Sanpete County.

Four passengers in the two vehicles were treated and released. Christensen was in critical condition at Utah Valley Medical Center in Provo, where she was airlifted, the patrol said.
