William J. Tabar, operator of the VR Business Broker offices in Ogden, Salt Lake City and Murray, has been elected president-elect of the VR Franchisee Association and also has been elected to a two-year term on the board of directors.

There are 200 VR Business Brokers franchisees who make up the largest network of agencies devoted exclusively to helping people buy and sell business, Tabar said.Tabar first came to Utah in 1979 as chief operating officer of Scott USA, which was located in Clearfield at the time. Earlier he was president of AMF Head Ski and Tennis Division in Boulder, Colo. He founded the VR office in Ogden in September 1981 and acquired the remaining Utah franchises in 1983.
