A Salt Lake man pleaded guilty Friday to charges he was intoxicated the night his vehicle struck and killed a West Valley pedestrian.

Cameron B. Larson, 19, faces sentencing Dec. 16 before 3rd District Judge David S. Young on a guilty plea to vehicle homicide, a third-degree felony, in the death of Dale G. Rowley, 28.Two related misdemeanor charges were dismissed in exchange for the plea.

Larson, whose blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit, was westbound on 41st South the night of Aug. 6. His car, going at a high speed, slammed into Rowley, a large rock, a camper and a boat before coming to a stop.
