Weber State Coach Denny Huston, has announced the signing of two players to national letters of intent to play basketball for the Wildcats in the 1989-90 season. They are Michael Sivulich, a guard out of Ogden's Bonneville High, and Kurt Schwan, a forward from Westlake High School in Westlake, California.

Sivulich, a first-team all-state selection last season, follows in the footsteps of his father, Mike Sivulich, who played for the Wildcats under Dick Motta in the early and mid 1960's. A 6-0, 170 pounder, the younger Sivulich is currently serving and LDS Church Mission to the Dominican Republic and will return in August of 1989.Schwan will be a senior this season for Coach Greg Hess at Westlake High School. Although he plays center, he will come to Weber State as a forward at 6-8, 210 pounds. He averaged 13.2 points and 8.1 rebounds his junior year.
