A Utah man arrested near Limon, Colo., with a carload of machine guns has been sentenced to 14 months in a federal prison after pleading guilty to one count of illegally possessing a machine gun.

Jorge Alejandro of Kaysville, Utah, was arrested June 18 and entered the plea Oct. 6. Thirteen other counts against him were dismissed.U.S. District Judge Sherman Finesilver said Alejandro would be credited with five months already spent in custody.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeff Kinder said information provided by Alejandro may lead to other cases being filed and more weapons recovered.

Alejandro was questioned at length by FBI, Secret Service and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents.
