Two Ricks College students, on their way to Centerville, Utah, were killed when they were thrown from the car in which they were riding after it rolled several times on I-15 near McCammon, 45 miles north of the Utah state line.
Idaho State Police said the driver, 18-year-old David Millar, from Glendora, Calif., and a passenger, 19-year-old Lauri Lemonte, of Louisville, Ohio, were pronounced dead at the scene at 1 p.m. Friday.Police said the students were on their way from the Rexburg College to Centerville for the weekend when Millar lost control of his car and a tire blew out, causing it to roll.
The car rolled over the victims, and none of the students were wearing seat belts, police said.
James Millar, 17, the brother of the driver, and 20-year-old Carol Walters, of Centerville, were treated and released from Bannock Regional Medical Center at Pocatello.
Another passenger, 18-year-old Jennifer Booth, hometown unknown, was listed in stable condition Saturday at the Pocatello hospital.
