Police are looking for fingerprints on a note a man used while robbing a florist shop Tuesday shortly after 3 p.m.
The robber entered Floral Accents, 4219 W. 35th South, then left the store and went to the adjacent business where several witnesses saw him pen a note that he carried back to the florist shop and presented to the cashier."Miss, I have a gun. Put the money in the bag," read the note, according to West Valley City Police officer Mike Buchanan. The man then held his hand in a coat pocket as if he was pointing a gun at the clerk. He left the store on foot after taking $200 from the clerk.
Police believe the man, described as Caucasian with brown hair and Hispanic features, left behind a number of good fingerprints on the note and elsewhere in the store, Buchanan said.
The clerk told police the robber was about 5 feet 4 inches, in his mid 20s and was wearing a black jacket and black pants.
