KZAN radio, FM-97.9, has changed its call letters to KKGB.

The station is identifying itself as "KGB" for short and is billing itself as Salt Lake's "new rock 'n' roll radio station."KKGB switched from a country music format to an oldies rock format last August. KKGB also hopes to move its downtown offices from Ogden to Salt Lake City in the near future.

KUER (FM-90) Host Noah Adams will leave the "Good Evening Program" at the end of the calendar year.

The program, which airs Saturdays at 5 p.m. on KUER, will continue despite the absence of Adams, according to Minnesota Public Radio, producer of the popular radio variety program.

Beginning with the Jan. 14 live broadcast, a variety of guest hosts will take over the show until a permanent replacement is found. "Good Evening" currently airs of 160 National Public Radio stations.

Adams is resigning to resume his career in broadcast journalism.

KSL (AM-1160) "Sportscentral" with Chris Tunis will discuss the college football bowl selection process tonight at 6:30.

- The BYU at Air Force game will air Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
