Ringo Starr reportedly is in an alcohol rehabilitation clinic with his wife, Barbara Bach, but officials at WNET, the New York PBS station, say they plan to go ahead with the ex-Beatle's kid show. Starr plays an 18-inch-tall railroad conductor on "Shining Time Station" and some 20 episodes of the show are ready for broadcast. Producers are waiting to see if Starr will be ready when production starts up again in January.
