A satellite broadcast introducing the 1989 course of study for gospel doctrine classes in Sunday schools of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is scheduled Nov. 13.

The program, which will be broadcast over the church satellite network at 6:10 and 8:10 p.m. and over KBYU-TV, Channel 11, at 8 p.m., focuses on the Doctrine and Covenants and church history.It will feature a movie, "The Heavens are Opened," and prerecorded addresses by President Howard W. Hunter of the Council of the Twelve and Elder Gene R. Cook of the First Quorum of the Seventy.

"This program is a significant presentation on church history. It can strengthen faith and motivate members and non-members to read and study the Doctrine and Covenants," President Hunter said.
