The University of Utah basketball team signed three players to early letters of intent Wednesday and could sign as many as two more before the early signing week ends next Tuesday.
Craig and Mark Rydalch from Oakley, Utah and 6-11 Tim McCune from Midfield, Ala., are the signees. McCune, a 6-11, 230-pound inside player from Midfield High School in Midfield, Ala. chose Utah over schools such as Alabama-Biringham and South Alabama. Last year he averaged 12 rebounds per game.Craig, a 6-4 off guard/small forward, is currently playing for Dixie Junior College in St. George. Craig scored 39 points in his last game, including eight three-point baskets. He will be a sophomore at Utah next year.
Mark, a 6-1 point guard, is currently a senior at South Summit. He is a two-year all-state selection and was the state's basketball MVP. He averaged 27 points and 15 assists last year. He is quarterbacking the Wildcats in the 1-A football championship game this weekend.
