Kamar Medical Management Services of Sandy will construct a new $2.5 million convalescent and rehabilitation care center on three acres of land in the Fiddlers Canyon area here.

The new Mt. Kolob Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center will offer a complete range of services which will include nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The facility will give the area long-term care.The center will have some 100 employees by the end of the first year of operation and a payroll estimated at over $1.2 million.

The new center will initially consist of 100 beds in a single-level 38,000-square-foot building, to be completed by the end of 1989 under the direction of a Twin Falls, Idaho, developer, Armstrong Development Company. Larry Adams, representing Armstrong, said that local contractors would be used to do much of the construction work.
