Rockers Billy Idol, Julian Lennon and other friends of a disc jockey killed by a hit-and-run driver staged a tribute concert in Los Angeles to raise an additional $10,000 in reward money for leads to the killer.
Lee Selwyn, 26, was riding his motorcycle last month when he was run down by a motorist in a pickup truck. He died Oct. 8.Friends have offered a $10,000 reward for information, and they hoped to at least to double that amount once the books on Tuesday's concert at the Palace nightclub are closed.
"He was a very sweet, a very wonderful man," said Lennon.
"He was a very nice guy," added Idol who, with Lennon and five local bands, performed for a sold-out audience. Selwyn spun records at trendy Los Angeles nightclubs. On Oct. 5, he opened his own club, Triple X.
