The entry deadline for the Deseret News' "Christmas I Remember Best" contest is Nov. 25.
Once again this year the paper is soliciting true yuletide experiences of its readers, and five of the most interesting stories will be printed in a series. The story does not have to be the writer's "best" Christmas but one "best remembered" because of unusual circumstances. A $60 prize will be awarded for each of the stories selected for publication.
There is no limit on the number of words for the stories, but contest officials suggest entries be between 800 and 1,000 words. They should be typewritten or handwritten legibly, and those not selected for publication will be returned if submitted with a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Entries should be mailed to "Christmas Best," Deseret News, P.O. Box 1257, Salt Lake City, UT 84110, or delivered to the newspaper office at 30 E. First South.
