A 10-inch acetate disk believed to be the first rec-ord ever made by Elvis Presley has surfaced and the owner is interested in reproducing it. Ed Leek of Key Largo, Fla., a high school buddy of Presley's, took the record to Sam Phillips in Memphis last weekend and played it for him and Marion Keisker, who worked at Phillips's Sun Studios when Presley recorded there. Keisker signed a statement verifying the authority of the record, which features "That's When Your Heartaches Begin" and "My Happiness." Presley made the record for his mother in 1953 and it fell into Leek's hands when Presley let him have it to play for his grandparents. Offers for the record have reached $500,000.
