Two Miami men pleaded not guilty Thursday to a seven-count indictment charging them with cocaine possession and conspiracy to distribute 2.2 pounds of the illegal drug.

Orestes Luciana Abreu, 48, and Juan Carlos Alvarez, 20, were ordered held without bond pending a May 23 trial before Utah federal Judge David Sam. They were indicted April 3 by a Utah federal grand jury.

The allegations also claim the men illegally possessed an automatic weapon and a handgun.
