Kathy Wood Loveless will serve as Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ted Wilson's official spokeswoman, overseeing the areas of his campaign dealing with issues, special events, media, scheduling and advertising.

Loveless, who for the past three years was involved in investment banking in New York, for seven years prior to that directed public affairs for the federal Bureau of Reclamation's seven-state region based in Salt Lake City."Ms. Loveless brings to the campaign a strong background of public affairs and management experience, as well as many years of Utah public service," Wilson said.

Loveless, who was 1968's Miss Utah, a role in which she received a Miss America finalist scholarship, has served as president of the Federal Executives Association of Utah and currently is president of the American Society for Public Administration's Utah chapter.
