Greg Hopkins, a longtime Republican worker, has been hired as the executive director of the Utah State Republican Party.
Hopkins replaces Gregg McDonough, who has left to run a U.S. Senate campaign for a Republican in Arizona.Hopkins, a Bountiful native, is a University of Utah graduate. He worked for former Rep. David Monson, R-Utah, and was deputy campaign manager during the 1986 congressional campaign of M. Tom Shimizu.
He was director of special projects for Rep. Tom Coleman, R-Mo.
