Patrons should be making reservations for the only Mountain West performance of the Moscow Classical Ballet, which will play the Val Browning Center for the Performing Arts at Weber State College in Ogden Oct. 20-22 at 8 p.m. Tickets now on sale at the Dee Events Center box office range in price from $10 to $40, tel. 626-8500.

The Moscow Ballet dates to 1968, and is now headed by artistic directors Vladimir Vasiliev and Natalia Kasatkina. The company is often ranked third in Russia, after the Bolshoi and Kirov, and specializes in touring, having toured more than 200 cities in the USSR and more than 30 countries around the world. It is now in the midst of an extended U.S. tour.Soloists of Moscow's Bolshoi Ballet who are accompanying the Moscow Ballet are prima ballerinas Ekaterina Maximova and Alla Khaniashvili, and premier danseur Vitaly Artyushkin. Several recent gold medalists are also on the tour.

The company's repertory for its Ogden engagement will consist of a variety program on Thursday, and performances of the full-length "Swan Lake" on Friday and Saturday nights. Included on the variety program will be excerpts from "Raymonda," "Flames of Paris," "Don Quixote," "Gayne," and the Adam and Eve Suite from "The Creation of the World," music by Milhaud.
