Health officials ordered doctors Monday to halt the practice of rushing to the sides of the dying to save their souls when all medical options have run out.

"There should be no preaching in the wards," said Acting Health Minister Yeo Cheow Tong, adding that any doctors caught in the act will be reprimanded.Yeo's mandate followed complaints that some doctors in government hospitals were fervently urging the dying to convert to Christianity to get to heaven.
