The trial of a Pleasant Grove man, charged with sexually assaulting a Provo woman, was continued Tuesday after the defense filed an extensive motion with 4th District Judge Ray M. Harding.

Defense attorney Wayne Watson and county prosecutors will argue the motion before Harding Oct. 28. Watson said the motion challenges the identification process used by the victim in linking the defendant to the crime.Jonathan H. Lundquist, 28, 369 E. State, was scheduled to be tried by jury this week, but because of the motion his trial date was rescheduled to Jan. 31.

Lundquist was arrested Aug. 1 by Provo police in connection with a May 31 sexual assault at a northeast Provo home. He is charged with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony, and burglary, a second-degree felony.
