Night flying operations will be conducted by the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base on Oct. 11 and 12 and from Oct. 17 through 20.

On Oct. 11 and 12, some 44 F-16 jets will be involved in nighttime maneuvers between 3:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.From Oct. 17 through 20, some 40 night flights will be conducted between 3:15 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Wing operation officials said it is essential for the pilots to maintain their combat readiness and that night flying is the perfect way to sharpen pilot skills.

The wing will return to routine flying schedules on Oct. 21.
