A man carrying a handgun held up a Spanish Fork gas station/

convenience store Sunday and left with about $300, the city's police chief said.The armed robbery occurred at 12:35 p.m. at the S&S Gas Station at 800 N. Eighth East, Police Chief Dee Rosenbaum said. The man walked into the store with a small-caliber semiautomatic handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money.

He left the store in a 1978-80 blue Chevrolet truck heading west on Eighth North. Spanish Fork police searched the immediate area and put out a multicounty attempt to locate, but no arrest has yet been made.

Police are searching for a white male approximately 25 to 30 years old with blondish-brown hair, full dark eyebrows and a mustache. He is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
