Two Utah State University Extension county agents received awards recently at the annual meeting of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents in Charlotte, N.C.

Shawn Olson of Davis County received the Achievement Award and Joseph Austin of Sevier County received the association's Distinguished Service award.Olsen, Kaysville, Davis County Extension agent, was honored for helping onion producers improve production and marketing, providing horticultural tips through a telephone-answering system and demonstration garden and his key role in a solar water system construction program.

Austin, Annabella, supervisor of USU Extension's 10-county Southwest District, was honored for his service to the livestock industry and helping to increase livestock producer profits through performance testing, marketing programs and encouraging the use of implants.
