Lt. Gov. W. Val Oveson and Miss Utah Sophia Symko took center stage with Mickey Mouse recently when the two Utah celebrities were honored at the Disneyland State Fair.

Disneyland celebrated "Utah Day" at the fair earlier this month.

Oveson was featured in the "Come to the Fair" parade and received a statuette of Mickey Mouse during a colorful flag-raising ceremony in Town Square.

Miss Utah 1988, who also represented Utah in the parade, was made an honorary citizen of the Magic Kingdom.

"State Fair at Disneyland" is an 11-week celebration featuring all the fun of 50 state fairs rolled into one. The fair continues daily through Nov. 13.
