An Ohio man faces a Dec. 6 trial on a charge of automobile homicide in the death of a 14-year-old West Valley City boy.

Third District Judge Michael R. Murphey set the trial date this week during arraignment of Quent S. Evans of Cleveland. The charge stems from a one-car accident near Kamas Aug. 27 in which Paul Harrison was killed.

Harrison was the only passenger in the car driven by Evans. It crashed on Lemon's Dugway on U.S. 189. Evans was injured, but was released from the hospital following a brief stay.

The investigating Utah Highway Patrol trooper, Scott Hathcock, testified at the preliminary hearing that the vehicle and its occupants smelled of alcohol.
