Reserve forward Jay Vincent's agent says the Denver Nuggets will have to trade Vincent because of the uncaring attitude the team has shown in offering him a $400,000-per-year salary.
"I think the Nuggets have really shown us where Jay fits in - and that's not at all," agent George Andrews said Friday. "That's why a trade is inevitable. If a player is really important to the team, then you don't treat him like this."The 29-year-old Vincent felt his play of last season, when he averaged 15.4 points and 4.2 rebounds as the club's top reserve, merited a pay raise.
