The Arthur Andersen & Co. accounting firm and a retired executive are helping Utah State University save a little money.

Jay H. Price Jr., a retired partner in Arthur Andersen, will be teaching accounting classes at USU this year, courtesy of the firm, said university spokesman Larzette Hale."The company will pay Price to teach a full load," said Hale. "He will teach beginning accounting courses and lecture in some graduate courses, advise students and do research on public utilities.

"Normally, students from all departments in the College of Business take beginning accounting courses, and we want to give those students the benefit of learning from someone with 39 years of experience in the profession."

Price has considerable teaching experience. In 1970, he developed a course on the utility ratemaking process for his company. He also has served as a visiting professor at Stanford University, teaching economics for public utilities.
