Israeli troops in the occupied West Bank killed two Arab children aged 5 and 14 on Tuesday as Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir vowed to crush a 10-month Palestinian uprising against Israeli rule. In Jerusalem, Shamir told supporters of his right-wing Likud party he would crush the uprising if Likud wins Israel's Nov. 1 general elections. Palestinian sources said troops shot 5-year-old Biya Jihad Fayez in the chest, stomach and arm as he stood next to his home in the city's El-Yisman neighborhood. He was the youngest victim of the uprising. Hospital sources named the 14-year-old as Khalid Tbaleh.
