Senior guard Kevin Nixon has received the Cec Baker Award, honoring the most valuable Utah State University basketball player of the season. It was the second straight year the 6-2 guard has received the honor.

Nixon is the highest scoring guard in USU history, with 1,456 points, and is seventh in all-time USU scoring.

Other awards presented at the annual banquet Tuesday night included Most Improved Player, given to Greg Houskeeper; Most InspirationalPplayer, Reid Newey; Sixth-Man Award, Jeff Anderson; and Academic Award, Dan Conway.
