Utah's Dance Dimension formation team, eight couples who comprise a youth dance team directed by Paul and Michelle Wilding, won the United States formation dance championship in Costa Mesa, Calif., on Sept. 2. The group received straight first-place markings for their Latin routine from all seven judges. Their victory has made them eligible to represent the United States in the World Formation Championships, to be held in Dortmund, Germany, on Oct. 28-29.

The young people worked all summer to earn money for their trip to Costa Mesa, and their new opportunity finds them a month away from competition, without significant support, said Paul Wilding. Contributions to their needed fund of $20,000 are being sought from the public, and will be gratefully accepted.
