Dr. Craig L. Booth, a general practitioner in St. George, is the new president of the Utah Medical Association. He replaces Dr. Anthony W. Middleton Jr.
Booth assumed his new role following the organization's recent annual meeting. He has practiced general medicine in St. George since 1973 and serves as medical director at Dixie Medical Center.Booth has served as president of Washington County Medical Society and the Dixie Medical Center Medical Staff. He has served two years on the governing board of the Utah Professional Review Organization, one year on the State Physician Licensing Board, eight years on the Governing Board at the Dixie Medical Center, and 13 years on the clinical faculty of the University of Utah School of Medicine.
Dr. John C. Nelson, a Salt Lake obstetrician and gynecologist, was voted president-elect.
