Actor Rob Lowe, 24, says his cameo appearances on behalf of presidential hopeful Michael Dukakis is his way of repaying a debt to a society that has given him such success. He told University of Toledo students this week that his interest in politics began at age 8, when he sold Kool-Aid for local Ohio politicians. "I feel that I really owe a debt, and I have to make a payment on that debt," Lowe said. "We are part of the greatest organization in history - democracy - and my debt is participation in the process."
