A $15,000 check has been presented to the Veterans Administration Medical Center by Utah Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Added to $34,500 contributed during the past year, the money will enable the center to install television sets in nearly every patient room.An emergency fund for patients was recently created by the VFW, whose members contribute much time visiting hospitalized veterans. VFW activities greatly assist the hospital, said W.L. Hodson, medical center director.

"In addition to providing quality care, we are now able to make veterans' stays in the hospital more enjoyable," Hodson said, noting that regulations prohibit the Veterans Administration from using federal money to purchase entertainment equipment.
