The parent Calgary Flames have officially assigned 14 players to the Salt Lake Golden Eagles - including seven players from the 1988 Turner Cup championship team.

The returnees include defenseman Ken Sabourin, forwards Bob Bodak, Marc Bureau and Martin Simard, centers Randy Bucyk and Jim Johanson and forward/defenseman Doug Clarke. The newcomers are goaltender Wayne Cowley, defensemen Michael Dark, Steve Smith and Rick Lessard, forwards Doug Pickell and Terry Perkins and center-right wing Mark Holmes.The 14 are schedule to report to Salt Lake immediately for workouts with Coach Paul Baxter. Calgary official Al Coates said two or three more players will be added to Salt Lake's roster this week and further assignments will come after the Flames' exhibition games this weekend.
