The suspension of seven administrators and program directors from Timpanogos Community Mental Health Center likely will be extended for another week until officials finish an audit on the center.

The county's auditing office and a team of auditors from the legislative auditor's office will need at least until Friday to finish the audit, said County Commissioner Gary Anderson. Anderson, chairman of the three-member Timp Mental Health board, said board members will meet Tuesday to discuss extending the suspensions."I'm pretty sure we'll extend the suspensions," Anderson said. "They (auditors) are moving along, but they're just now putting the numbers together."

Timp Mental Health's five-member management team and two program directors were suspended a week ago by the board after allegations surfaced of mismanagement and misuse of public money.

The Timp Mental Health board has selected Utah Valley Regional Medical Center administrator Keith Tintle as interim director to oversee the center's daily operations until the audit is completed.
