Three restaurant employees were tied up and robbed of an undetermined amount of money at gunpoint about 11:15 p.m. Monday, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Dan Ipson said.

Two robbers, one armed with a small-caliber pistol, entered the restaurant at 23rd East and 39th South and told two employees to get down on the floor while the other employee opened a safe.

The three were then forced into a back room where they were tied up. They freed themselves about 15 minutes later, Ipson said.
