Rescuers aboard helicopters searched for a missing British worker Friday and shipboard crews battled flames from explosions and fire on a North Sea oil platform, officials said.

All the other 66 people on the semi-submersible platform Ocean Odyssey escaped Thursday from the explosions and fire. Rescue helicopters took them to this port city, and one was reported to have suffered slight injuries. The rig is about 110 miles from where Occidental Petroleum's semi-submersible oil rig Piper Alpha was swept by explosions and fire on July 6, killing 167 people in the world's worst oil rig disaster.
