When boxing referee Keith Walker left home in New Zealand for the Seoul Olympics, he told his wife it would be his last international competition. Little did he realize he would be going home so soon.

Walker was attacked Thursday by South Korean coaches enraged that two penalty points assessed by the referee cost one of their fighters a decision."I had to bail out on the bout because it was a complete disaster in respect to the crowd reaction," Walker said as he prepared to board a plane at Kimpo Airport.

Who suggested he leave the country?

"I suggested I leave the country."

The Korean coaches threw several punches at Walker, hitting him at least once despite efforts by fellow referees to shield him in a corner.

"They were kicking and punching and pulling my hair out," Walker said. "I was punched in the back by the Korean coach."
