Making sure the public doesn't misunderstand its position, the Davis County School Board has revoted on a resolution to fight the tax initiatives.
This time instead of 3-1, it was 5-0 in favor of the resolution.Board member Louenda Downs called for the revote because she said the public may have misinterpreted her earlier "nay" vote to mean she favors the initiatives.
She said she opposes the initiatives and that she originally voted against the resolution because she felt it was duplicative. An earlier resolution said the board opposed the initiatives and gave principals the authority to speak out against the initiatives.
Also voting on the resolution for the first time Tuesday night was board member Robert Thurgood.
