Lt. Col. Thomas King, Park City, has been appointed commander of the 466th Tactical Fighter Squadron of the Air Force Reserve's 419th Tactical Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base. He succeeds Col. Reese Nielsen, Brigham City, who has been named vice commander of the 419th TFW.

A reservist for the past 14 years, King served eight years on active duty, flying four combat tours in F-4, F-105, A-7 and O-1 aircraft, and spent eight years as a pilot for Frontier Airlines. He is currently studying for a master's degree in business administration at Westminster College, Salt Lake City.

King and his wife, Teresa, have two children, Cassie, 4, and Luke, 2.
