Actor-director Robert Redford will meet next month with editors and publishers attending the 44th general assembly of the Inter-American Press Association, conference officials say.

The editors and publishers are scheduled to attend a luncheon at Redford's Sundance Resort in the Wasatch Mountains above Provo on Oct. 12, during the third day of their four-day conference.Redford is scheduled to speak informally and answer questions from up to 400 media executives from throughout the hemisphere that are expected to attend the conference.

Redford is the owner of the ski resort that is also home to the Sundance Institute, which supports the work of performing artists. His last movie, "The Milagro Beanfield War," was about the clash between a traditional Hispanic village and greedy U.S. land developers.
