The condition of convicted killer Mark W. Hofmann improved to fair Monday at University Hospital.

Hofmann is recovering from an apparent self-inflicted overdose of anti-depressants. Hofmann was discovered comatose Thursday afternoon in his medium security prison cell.Hofmann, who has been ordered by the Board of Pardons to serve the rest of his life in prison for the bombing deaths of two individuals, was air lifted to University Hospital in critical and unstable condition and he could only breathe with the aid of a respirator.

He had been listed serious over the weekend.
