A Moroni man and his infant son were killed and two other family members seriously injured in a head-on collision in central Utah, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Juan Zomudie, 29, and his 3-month-old son, Marco, died when the car driven by Zomudie crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car on SR 132 while negotiating a curve about 8:10 p.m. Friday, the patrol said. His wife, Elena, was listed in stable condition Sunday night at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, and the couple's 8-year-old daughter, Rosa, was in cirtical condition at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
Authorities said the family's four other children, ages 2 to 10, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
UHP Trooper Stan Henderson said Zomudie was northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line while going around a curve and crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Geral Marx, 60, of Mount Pleasant.
Marx was treated and released from Utah Valley Medical Center for a broken arm and a blow to the chest. A passenger, Nola M. Washburn, no age or address available, was uninjured.
