Federal and local officers have arrested 11 people in the greater Ogden area for investigation of cocaine and marijuana possession, authorities say.
Narcotics agents posing as air-express delivery men took five people into custody after several people accepted a shipment of more than two pounds of rock cocaine, also known as "crack."In another bust, the Weber-Morgan Strike Force arrested six people for investigation of marijuana possession. More arrests are pending.
Four Ogden residents and a Washington state man were booked into the Weber County Jail after the crack-related arrests, said Steve Lough, resident agent in charge of the federal Drug Enforcement Administration's Salt Lake City office.
The DEA signed complaints against two of the five.
The other three were released pending further investigation, Lough said.
A task force of federal, state and local agents stationed at the Salt Lake International Airport made the arrests, he said.
