The House this week approved a bill allowing the Department of Agriculture to trade a parcel of land in Farmington to that city for 73 acres in Wasatch National Forest of equal value.

The legislation also allows Kanab to buy public Lands from the Interior Department and lifts reversion restrictions from parcels in Riverdale and Brigham City.Rep. Jim Hansen, R-Utah, who sponsored the bill, said it "has no significant national importance, but it is important to the orderly development of four Utah communities."
