Customs agents realized something was fishy when anchovy importer Andes Trading Co. listed a bogus address in New York City.

Inside a 1,000-carton shipment of anchovies, investigators found 137 cartons holding 2,745 pounds of cocaine, federal officials said at a news conference Thursday.Roberto Alcaino, 51, of Chile, listed as the consignee on the manifest, was arrested in New York about Thursday shortly after he accepted the load, minus all but one carton of cocaine.
