A national conference, "Quality -- Beyond Customer Satisfaction," sponsored by the American Society for Quality Control, will be shown via satellite from New York City Oct. 5 at three locations on the Wasatch Front.

Although the telecast is set live for 10 a.m. MDT, it will be taped and shown at 1:30 p.m. at the Triad Center and the Ogden Hilton Hotel. The program will be telecast live at 10 a.m. at Brigham Young University.Speaking will be Colby Chandler, chief executive officer of Kodak; Spencer Hutchens Jr., ASQC president; Roberto Goizueta, chairman of Coca Cola; Robert C. Stemple, General Motors Corp. president; Frank Wells, Walt Disney Corp. president; John F. Akers, IBM chairman; and Donald E. Peterson, Ford Motor Co. chairman.

BYU is co-sponsoring the telecast at that location, AT&T is co-hosting the broadcast at the Triad Center, and Morton Thiokol is co-sponsoring the Ogden event.
